Malicious iPhone Virus In Netherlands

We’ve seen Jailbroken iPhones that left SSH on with the default passwords get Rickrolled, and also “blackmailed”, though we’re fairly sure nobody really paid any money. Now it seems that a new virus, exploiting the same vulnerability, has surfaced in the Netherlands. It allows the hacker to remotely control and access the phone, making it a serious privacy concern, especially if you fiddle with online banking on your iPhone. You’d hate to wake up and see your bank account cleared out, wouldn’t you? At the time of writing, this variant of the virus is isolated in the Netherlands, but who knows where it will spread it. So if you’ve Jailbroken your iPhone, do remember to change the default password.
