SEGA of America has just rolled out PlaySEGA, a new gaming and social networking website that features a whole bunch of free-play titles that is compatible with both PC and Mac users. Each game will enable users to collect PlaySEGA rings – the de facto “currency” on the site which can then be traded to customize the site when creating profile pages. It would be interesting to see how far people would go in wasting their time on casual games so that they can have the most blinged up page. In addition, SEGA will be offering a paid-for VIP section that will make available some MegaDrive classics as well – here’s to hoping Golden Axe and Altered Beast appearing yet again!
